Paediatric First Aid PFA
FAA AWARD LEVEL 3 (RQF)


This Paediatric First Aid course has been developed for those working with infants and children and is ideal for anyone responsible for their welfare while in your care. The qualification provides learners with the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a wide range of paediatric first aid situations confidently and effectively.
This in-person 2-day course is particularly suitable for teachers, childminders, nursery staff, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and carers working with children and babies.
This qualification fulfils the requirements for First Aid training detailed within the Department for Education’s statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and is fully accredited and recognised.

Learners must be over the age of 16 and ID will be required.
Assessment
The qualification is assessed through both practical demonstration and written assessment.
Learners must successfully complete both the written and practical assessments to achieve the qualification. This includes demonstrating effective CPR and placing a casualty into the recovery position safely.
Certificates
Successful learners will receive the FAA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid qualification.
The qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement.
To renew the qualification after expiry, learners must complete the full course again.
Annual refresher training is recommended during the three-year certification period.

A maximum of 12 learners can attend each course.

Other
