The Refresher course will support Mental Health First Aiders by: Renewing their skills Updating their knowledge of mental health supports Giving them the chance to practice applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan Enabling your Mental Health First Aiders to refresh their skills, the same way your physical first aiders do. This course raises awareness of mental health and is ideal for employee training across an organisation, as well as individuals wanting to learn more about mental health.  This course includes: - What mental health is and how to challenge stigma. - A basic knowledge of some common mental health issues. - An introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining wellbeing. - Confidence to support someone in distress or experiencing a mental health issue. £100 per person. This is a 3-hour course delivered online and learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and activities. A workbook, manual and certificate are provided. This course builds on the First Aid for Mental Health Level 2 course and covers a wider range of mental health conditions. It goes into detail on the range of therapy and professional support that a person may be given by professional bodies during treatment for a mental health condition. ​The course is suitable for all persons within a workplace but is aimed at those who hold a supervisory/managerial level position, and who have responsibility for implementing a positive mental health culture and responsibility for First Aid for Mental Health within an organisation.. Suitable for everyone but has been designed to help employers provide a positive mental health culture within the workplace and provide learners with comprehensive knowledge on a range of common mental health conditions and skills to act if a condition is suspected. Learners undertaking this course will be considered First Aiders for Mental Health and be a point of contact within the workplace to help and support those with a suspected mental health condition.
